Downend Folk House Association, Lincombe Barn

Downend Folk House, Lincombe Barn, Overndale Road, Downend is the Community Centre for the Downend and Bromley Heath Parish. Membership costs £12 per annum and the centre runs a variety of clubs and classes open to all members. The rooms are also available for private hirings.

The Folk House is open from September to July.

 1970 - 2010

BARN 40TH ANNIVERSARY

Downend Folk House Association, Lincombe Barn, Overndale Road, Downend (Reg Charity No. 269145)   is celebrating its 40th Anniversary in 2010.  In 1970 a group of forward looking people leased Lincombe Barn from Mangotsfield District Council to make it in to a Community Centre and the result is the energetic, vibrant centre we have today. We have recently been renovating and updating some parts of the building - and there is more to do. 

We are planning a year of celebratory events and fund raising. Our main aim is to raise enough money for the renovation of the stone façade - which is still the original stone.
